This project featured a 500-drone Diamond Jubilee Carnival display for Singapore Island Country Club on 17 June 2023. Built around a golf-course launch environment, the show combined anniversary storytelling, clubhouse and heritage cues, portrait-style sky art, a golfer swing formation, a 2023 Singapore Island Country Club text formation, a 60th anniversary cake formation, and a final Cheers Singapore Island Country Club text moment.
Mission Objective
The Brief
The brief was to turn SICC's Diamond Jubilee Carnival into a premium outdoor sky moment, using a 500-drone fleet to celebrate the club's 60-year milestone in a way that felt formal, warm, and memorable for members and guests.
More Than Marketing
A private club anniversary requires a different tone from a public festival or brand launch. The show needed to feel celebratory without becoming noisy, using elegant milestone imagery, clear text, and venue-sensitive launch planning around the golf-course environment.

Designing for a City Skyline
The creative challenge was making personal and institutional anniversary imagery readable at scale. Portrait details, milestone cake visuals, and text formations had to be simplified into crisp silhouettes while still feeling meaningful to the SICC audience.
Narrative Arc & Camera Strategy
The sequence moved from the MIRS team's on-site setup into a composed anniversary arc: drones taking off, a clubhouse formation, four hands surrounding the Aug 1932 date, a portrait formation, a golfer swing formation, 2023 Singapore Island Country Club text, and a 60th anniversary cake as the closing milestone.

Planning focused on golf-course launch layout, member and guest sightlines, low-light visibility, weather checks, and timing coordination with the wider Diamond Jubilee Carnival programme.
Day-of Operations
On show day, the team coordinated close-up grid setup, golf-course launch readiness, night formation checks, and live timing so the 500-drone sequence could land cleanly as a refined jubilee celebration.
