JPJ Malaysia
Drone Light Show
— Merdeka 118
On 14 September 2026, MIRS Drone Show delivered a 500-drone performance at Presint Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur for the launch of JPJ's Nombor Pendaftaran Istimewa Series H. Held in conjunction with Malaysia Day 2026, the government event connected the single-letter H identity with the theme of Harmoni and a national celebration setting.
Mission Objective
The Brief
The project called for a 500-drone performance to support JPJ's launch of the Nombor Pendaftaran Istimewa Series H at Presint Merdeka 118. The show needed to present a clear government-event identity, connect the H series with Malaysia Day 2026 and create an outdoor visual moment for invited guests in Kuala Lumpur.
More Than Marketing
Public reporting describes Series H as JPJ's final single-letter registration series and states that the letter represents Harmoni. The launch therefore carried meaning beyond the registration number itself: it linked a new identity to national unity, civic service and the wider Malaysia Day celebration.
Mission Assets

Creative Performance Design
Designing for a City Skyline
The creative direction needed to remain legible against the dense city lights surrounding Presint Merdeka 118. MIRS developed large, high-contrast shapes and controlled transitions so the NPI Series H identity and Malaysia Day themes could be read from the event viewing area without relying on fine detail.
Narrative Arc & Camera Strategy
The visual record follows the launch of JPJ's NPI Series H and the meaning of Harmoni. The sequence combines the single H reveal with the JPJ mascot, special registration number identity, Malaysia flag, ASEAN Malaysia mark, Kuala Lumpur cityscape and Selamat Hari Malaysia formations. Large silhouettes and clear text were composed for the city skyline and invited audience sightlines.
- Series H reveal A clear single-letter H formation anchors the identity of JPJ's final single-letter registration series.
- Malaysia Day narrative Malaysia Day motifs connect the launch with national identity, harmony and civic pride.
- Skyline readability High-contrast silhouettes are composed for visibility against the Kuala Lumpur night skyline.
- Audience sightlines The sequence is paced for invited guests to follow and record from the designated audience area.
