The Brief
The brief was to create a festive community sky moment for a free-entry Chinese New Year carnival beside Kembangan MRT Station. The 200-drone show needed to work for families, residents, grassroots guests, and audiences moving through the event field between performances and light displays.
More Than Marketing
The Spring Into Prosperity @ Marine Parade Cluster CNY Carnival brought together drone display, colourful Chinese zodiac light displays, LED dragon dance, and community performances. For this setting, the drone show had to feel festive and accessible while giving the neighbourhood celebration a larger visual finale.

Designing for a City Skyline
The creative challenge was designing CNY visuals that remained legible in an open-field community setting. Detailed cultural motifs had to be simplified into bold silhouettes, while Happy CNY text, dragon imagery, and zodiac-inspired cues had to stay readable from ground-level viewing angles.
Narrative Arc & Camera Strategy
The sequence combined greeting-led sky writing with festive icons and colourful motion. Happy CNY text created an immediate message, dragon and Chinese text formations added cultural identity, and aerial wave patterns gave the show a celebratory finale rhythm.

Day-of Operations
On show night, the team coordinated the 200-drone launch setup, formation checks, and live sequence around the community celebration environment. The resulting aerial display added a premium festive moment to the Kembangan CNY carnival while keeping the visuals readable and family-friendly.
