Mission Objective

The Brief

Dulwich College Singapore required a Founder's Day centrepiece that could bring the school's visual identity into the sky above the campus for the community gathered below. The brief called for formations representing the school's crest, symbols, and values, making it a performance specific to Dulwich rather than a generic aerial show.

More Than Marketing

Founder's Day is the most significant annual celebration in a school's calendar, requiring a programme that resonates with students, families, and staff equally. A drone show above the campus offered a scale of experience that no indoor production could match. With every formation drawn from the school's own identity, the aerial performance became an extension of the Dulwich College story rather than an added spectacle.

Creative Performance Design

Designing for a City Skyline

The performance above a school campus required CAA Singapore authorisation with additional care for the ground safety of a student and family audience below. Formation geometry for the crest, five-person formation, and script sequences had to be legible at low-altitude viewing distance for guests standing on the school grounds, while the cityscape-framed finale needed to read clearly from the same ground-level perspective. Show timing was integrated with the Founder's Day programme schedule, with each formation cued to align with the ceremony proceedings.

Narrative Arc & Camera Strategy

The performance opened with the Dulwich College crest forming above the campus, the founding emblem of the school appearing in the sky directly over the community that carries it. A five-person formation followed against the Singapore skyline. Script sequences then brought language into the aerial programme: 'From Good' in the air above campus, followed by 'Our Stories', the Founder's Day theme, rendered in 300 drones. The show closed with 'Happy Founder's Day 2025' spelled out against the cityscape backdrop, completing a performance that moved through the school's identity from crest to motto to community message.
